			Dis-connecting Defender speedo cable

					Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how to remove the speedo cable from the back of a '99 300TDi Defender speedo please? I can see just enought to know there is no familiar knurled nut.

It looks like a straight "pull off" job but if I am wrong and just give it a tug I might bust it - bad news!

 As always, advice gratefully received.

 Cheers,

 Paul

If its the same as the 98 you squeeze the plazstic fitting and it unlocks. Its a type of bayonet fitting.

Yes, I should have thought of that. It is just that, 10k's out at 100. Pity I put it back together before looking in to the forum again......

 Cheers,

 Paul
