    no drive

    86 model range rover 5 speed cannot get car to drive tailshaft spins when i put it in gear low /high no movement whats broken

    try puting the diff lock in and see what happens

    Which tailshaft spins. Sounds like a broken diff or axle at the end with the spinning tailshaft. As said, locking the centre diff should get it moving again, but you'll need to get it fixed.

    Broken centre or axle

    Edit: if you want diff centres, axles etc I can help out, even have a full 24 spline set from a disco, or stock replacements, 10 spline stuff can be had for beer

    Diff lock is in and both Spin... we pulled the CV on the Drivers side and axle is ok.. after that we gave up, put it back together and he got a Tow truck...

    unless you'v done a axle on both front and rear or both diffs

    its gotta be in the box but then why would the tail shafts spin...

    Sounds like both diff centers have given up being a 10 spliner it woulden surprise me tho as ive done it busted back center and took teath off front crown wheel tho i could still brive it with a few clunks

    Axels or centres or combination of both.

    My moneys on the diff centres if they are standard they are not overly strong espesially if running big agressive rubber.

    What tyres were you running and how did it happen might give some insite.
