Theres no way around it pull the head off, you will have a split/cracked valve and a stuffed head gasket

What i have found out is the car last ran 1 month ago.. so it wont be stuck lifters....
Cam seems to be ok as all the rockers move about the same amount....
I'm going to do a pressure test as i have a plug adaptor for when i used to do valve stem seals on the rally car with the head on...
If it is a buggered piston i might just have to find a few $k and build a 4.6........

You want to buy a 50k on rebuilt 3.9? for 1k, I know where one is, I'm umming and arring about buying the wreck as its pricey....its got carbs on it
If i knew it was not going to shiet its self then i might......
Ohh the problem was the head gasket...
Pulled the rocker cover and rocker gear off and pressurised the bore, then i saw oil squirting from next to the push rods... 1st thought was a cracked block...
Then i looked further.... the oil was the oil i used to wet test the engine... and either the head is routed or the gasket is really blown bad....
i'm pulling the lot out tommorow.... and i'm going to make a new post on how to pull an engine out the rough way.....
Gas axe the front off the Disco
You could do a re ring and hone without even taking the engin off the box just take off the sump undo all the rods and lift em out leave the crank in give it a hone fit new rings and big end bearings and put it all back together with new head gaskets then run it in the chasis would only cost a few hung and youd have a nice tight engin again![]()
Well engine is out and i'll pull the head off today...
How did i get the engine and tranny out in 1 hit.....
ha Ha..... love the Gas axe...
