Disco 93, What's the Upgrade differences??

I have a 93 Disco Date of Build June 1993, it originally had the 3.5 EFI V8 and Auto, single coil, electronic ignition (Dissy), no Catalytic Conv.
Can anyone tell me the differences between Pre-Upgrade models and Upgraded Models, mechanically and cosmetic, inside and out, would be much obliged, Regards Frank.

Dash, gearbox, front end (lights grill etc), air bags, 7 seat option, dual control air con and heating, newer looking buttons (windows etc), better seating and fabric, 3.9L or 300tdi, R380 box, different air box etc etc etc.

The list is alot but if you look at a 95 model you can see the diff.

Just be aware that between the Update model and the model you have there is an interim model that only sold for about 5 or 6 months from the end of 1993 to May 1994 when the update became available in the showrooms.

This interim model had the same basic body options and interior as the earlier pre update. The petrol engine was the 3.9 but with different ancillaries (basically the 3.5 stuff) - most obviously diffent aircleaner and had various fanbelts rather than the serpentine belt of the later 3.9. I believe the 200tdi was the same as the earlier 200 tdi but I am not sure.

The other changes was that this interim model had the antiroll suspension of the Update models with roll bars.

Gearboxes were the same as the earlier models and I think they still ran 10 spline diffs rather than the updates 24 spline.

The most obvious extenal difference in the V8 models with this interim model was the bright orange 3.9i decals on the guards - no other versions has these.

    To add to the list:

MY95 has lights in the rear bumper and a high mount brake light.

Auto and transfer are the same (transfer has updates though, auto probably does too).

    MY95 has ABS option.

    Different brake master cylinders.

MY95 has options of grey or tan interior.

MY95 has sway bars and 24 spline axles.

Later MY95 have one shot grease filled swivels. Later models also have an on glass radio antenna on the driver's side cargo area window.

Basically they look the same from a distance but they are very different looking up close.

7 seat was an option (dealer fit or post sale) from day one.

The 200tdi was the same & the 24 spline axles came in just prior to the 3.9 being released (no definite changeover VIN - it goes by axle number).
