    Spring Rates on my Disco

    Hi all,

I am curious as to what my coil spring rates are in my 1994 Disco.

I have a receipt from the previous owner and it calls them LAN115 and LAN106. They are dark blue in colour.
He told me they were King Springs at the time but the receipt doesn't have a brand name on it.

Interestingly the rear springs have a tag that says LAN113 so he must have swapped them over later on. I couldn't read the front springs tag. I'll get a better look when I remove a wheel.

They were bought from Sutherland Shire Off Road Equipment in 2002 if that helps.

I googled the part numbers but came up with nothing.

    Thanks.

    Any ideas?

I looked up the King Springs website and the part numbers they give don't correlate to what I have.

I even called the shop that sold the springs but they were unsure of what was what.

I think I did. He is going to call me back with the info. He called me back once already as I left a message with whoever answered the phone.

Unless they have changed brands I would have thought that info would have been easy to find.

I'm guessing the LAN part of the number identifies it as a Land Rover spring but as for the 113, 115, 106 I have no idea.

If there a dark blue coil id say they may either be dobbins or lovell as there both blue the LAN would be the landrover prefix and the number would represent the rate and over all hight ...

Heres a link to the lovels catalog and there part no's are different so you may have dobbins ..

    Thanks Lokka.

I just checked Lovells and the part numbers don't match up.
I also checked Dobinsons (is that what you meant?) and they don't match either.
