D2 SLS or convert to Coils with Bags?

My D2 2001 with SLS needs a new air compressor which will cost about the same give or take a couple hundred dollars as it would to convert it to coils with air bags inside the coils, you know what I mean.

Have replaced the air springs two years ago and they will last about another three years. So a conversion to coils and bags should be the cheapest in the long run?

What should I do? What are the pro's and con's of both? Opionion's please?

I loved the SLS in mine, i would keep it, have a look around at other options with the compressor, who have you tried so far? i was looking at doing some more mods to my SLS before i got rid of my d2 and had spoken to the airbag man about a replacement compressor, if i remember right it wasnt that costly.

Thanks Cal. Yes I love the SLS in mine too so good for towing. I was under the impression you changed your D2 over to coils. Or where thinking of it, don't know where I got that from.

I thought the compressor's where pretty expensive. Would not mind sticking with SLS if they are not to dear.

keep the SLS handy and keeps the same height, I will be changing another set of springs on the front of mine soon as they have sagged.

Shop around for the compressor I have kept my old one it was the barrel that wore out in mine may be able to get it sleeved at some stage.

I like the fact that the car rides level whether you have no weight in it or loaded up for an outback trip.
I've done 110k in mine with no problems & no replacements. I do make sure though that I clean around the air bag roll by using the lift button & removing all the mud etc.
