    130 springs in a 110

The project County I have, has 130 springs as it carried a lot of weight at times. It seems to have the correct bushes to compensate for the extra angle.
I wont be carrying that much weight, maybe 300-400 kg tops
The previous owner took off the shockies which leaves me with two options
The question is - should I-
1-Buy a set of Bilsteins for around 900 bucks
2- Stick with the old man emu shocks & springs from my donor County.
Wouldnt it be a harsh ride with the 130 springs?
any 130 owners opinions would be welcome.

I can't help you on the 130 springs however I did notice kookynet had inner springs fitted to there rig.....but they are loaded to the limits

Standard springs and poly airs work well in my rig

If you're talking about the standard 130 rear springs then that should be fine (I.e. Coil & helper) as that's what is fitted by the factory if you choose the HD rear suspension option. I've got them fitted to my Camel as they fitted up most Camels with the helpers, including a special variant for the Discoveries.

No problem with fitting what ever shocks you're happy with.

When empty, you'll find the setup a bit hard and she'll handle loads better when you've got 500kg in the back!

However, bear in mind that legally, your payload capacity won't change - I.e. your GVW will stay at 3tonnes.

Thanks guys, I recall reading a report on the 130 and they said it did handle much better with a few hundred kilo in the back. I do go out and get a tonne of firewood about 5- 6 times a year, I load her up to the window tops so I might try the 130 springs as its usually worrying I might overload that stops me .

when I have the back of the 130 loaded up with firewood I'm glad I'm running dual springs and the ride is oh so plush
I can understand how people think they are a filling rattler unladen. I really get a surprise when I unload everything and drive around (not very often)

FWIW I put mine over the weighbridge the other day and it went 2660kg with about half my normal work gear in back. One day I might get a chance to go over one unladen, as i'm guessing I had about 300kg in the back, the rest should be bar work, winch, etc.
