    D1 Aircon fans

I am currently in NW WA and the temp is 40+ most days at the moment. I have not had any overheating issues with my 3.9 D1, but a couple of times lately the aircon fans have continued to run for a time after I have switched my engine off. This is happening even when I'm not running the aircon. It switches itself off after a minute or so, and has only done it maybe 3 or 4 times. The car runs very consistently at just under 1/2 temp no matter what it's doing so overheating doesn't seem to be an issue. I was just wondering if this was a normal thing or if I have some kind of gremlin in the system somewhere?

I know this is very common and normal on cars I presume the same applies to the Disco too?

It's just the thermostatic control on the electric fan. No big deal - it's just due to the coolant temp sitting at the upper end of allowed range when you switch off, and with the hot air it takes a little longer to cool. I've had mine turn on after I've stopped, when the heat from the block raises the coolant temp enough.

Thanks for the replys guys. I wasn't really worried about it, but it is nice to know that it's supposed to happen.

I would be more concerned if they DON't run in that ambient temperature! especially after switching off or idling for a while.
