    D2 Blown fuse undocumented tip - I think

    I have never seen this in a thread before so I thought I would post this tip.

    If you find the CDL light comes on every time you put your foot on the brake, check your brake light fuse it has most likely blown.
    Took me a while to work that one out How cryptic is that.

    Might work with pre 03 Disco's that didn't have the CDL installed but I've blown 2 brake fuses (bloody tailer wiring ) in my 03 Disco and the only indication I got was the cruise control didn't work. First time it happened I was scratching my head until someone notice I didn't have brake lights.

    You maybe right. It may vary with the different computers. Mine also happened after hooking up a rental trailer.

    I spoke to the dealer about it at the next service, and he had seen it before and it was an indicator the fuse had blown.
    I also have the installed but as an early D2 not the same as an 03 model.

    Yep this was suggested to me when my CDL light came on - but turned out to be a wiring issue.
