Leaking Aircon
The aircon on my D1 is leaking into the drivers footwell. Does anyone know how big a job to rectify this, or what exactly needs to come off. I am asuming that maybe the drain hose has worked loose, but I don't want to go in gung ho and pull the whole dash apart to find that there was a much easier way of fixing the problem.

Ah, well, you may not need to go in at all.
Clamber underneath & have a look up around the gearbox area. You should see 2 x dog's pizzles sticking through each side of the tunnel (1 each side) They are pointed & flexible hence my description.
Move them around &/or poke a bit of wire through. I suspect they are actually stuck together with mud.
I think I have read where a compressed air nozzle was used & blowing inwards. Not sure about that one, as you may blow the crap back from whence it may return, to give you more grief one day.
Hope this helps.

Yeah very common problem, this comes up two or three times at the start of each summer, when people turn on the AC to find the drain tubes are block with dirt and mud.
Bit of coathanger wire poked up there should fix it.
Should take all of two minutes to fix it. Don't put yor head directly under the tube though, unless you like a face full of foul dirty water.
