    Angry Braking issues

Am haveing problems stopping under heavy applications the old girl is pulling up streight but the pedel goes hard. the rotors and pads were renued 10,000k ago.On a loose slippery surface the ABS functions normaly. On a hard surface she seems a bit reluctant to stop. Any ideas. Under normal brakeing everything seems to be ok.

Sounds to me as though the pads are too hard or they're glazed, or the booster isn't functioning properly.

    Cool D1 Brakes

    G, Day Kiwi Steve,

I recently redid the brakes on my D1. (Although in my case the the rotors and pads also needed doing) I had the same symtom of the pedal going hard and further to floor and I really had to stand on it to pull up. This was because the master cylinder had worn out and fluid was being by-passed straight to wheel cylinders hence the extra effort need to pull up.

After market master cylinders $475 + labour

I hope this helps identify the problem.
