300tdi torque figues more genuine than jap engines the same size.
Just updated the caravan, ( 15ft millard to windsor 18ft tandem) The weight difference has gone from probably 1.2t loaded- 1.8t, maybe a bit more, it has not effected the old 130 tray backs towing ability out on the highway very much at all
, a little bit!, but she always digs that little bit deeper and hangs on, mostly staying in the same cog
, Reading other forums, there seems to be no end of trouble with jap stuff wanting to over heat, they have the the torque figues to pull great weights at great speed, but whats the use if its going chit itself after going over a few mountains? Ahhhh! the hare and tortise equation
.
Cheers Sumo

Yeah, our diesel Landcruiser overheats when towing up decent hills and the ac shuts itself down.
Cheers
