    Well transfercase is back together and ready to roll.
    Gearbox should be done tomorrow.

    With everything apart i also noticed the clutch fork was stuffed and the thrust bearing is on its way out too.

    Will pull the clutch while i have it all apart and see how that looks too.

    Its alive at last!!!!
    Was up and running Monday and so far so good

    Here's what i replaced
    Output Shaft $350.00
    Transfer Case Input Gear $250.00
    Thrust Bearing $65.00
    Clutch Fork $75.00
    Various Seals $15.00
    Oil $25.00

    Yeah me too,i had a trouble free run for 4 years only replacing oils and filters and 1 uni
    In the last 3 months i've done 1 P Gasket,1 Lift Pump and 1 Output Shaft

    They say it comes in 3's so here's hoping

    was the input gear to the TC cross drilled? I understand that this was the mod to improve lubrication to the splines. I had the splines on the GB output shaft and TC input gear go. It was the first time that I found out that this was a common problem. Bloody LR, they should have put out a recall or at least a service bulletin.

    The old gear was the original and not cross drilled but i made sure that the new one was a cross drilled gear so hopefully it never bothers me again.
