    Half shafts

    G'day mates!
Anyone an idea if the half shafts of a Salisbury rear axle with drum brakes will fit the disc braked variant as well? I have heard rumours they are different in length, a fact that should cause me some grief. Please tell me the truth.

    Cheers
    Johannes

But is that more to do with different drive members on the ends? I'm wondering if they changed to the low profile (thinner) ones when they went to disc brake, so making them shorter. Using the old drive flanges might be ok.

They will fit, but the drive flanges have 3/8" imperial bolts, and need to be drilled(Very hard ,too!) out to suit a 10mm metric bolt that is used in the defender disc rear drive flanges.
