    Try this:

    Jaycar Electronics

splice it into the wiring either behind the dash or after the sender on the TC.

Truspeed is the only speedo correction controller that most people know of (without surveying most people!) that will correct the disco2 speedo with computer problems. The D2 has a 1hz diagnostic frequency so the computer knows that there is no speed signal errors, and not all speedo correction units will pass this frequency through.

    Other implications are:

If it's an auto, then splice it in after the SLABS computer and it will affect all systems include ACE, ABS and of course the speedo. I've done an article here on its fitment which shows which wires to cut etc.

If it's a manual, then you may lose your cruise control. The TD5 does, though the V8 works a different CC system, so I'm not sure. For the manual you will probably want to wire it to affect the dash only - or try it out and see if the V8 doesn't lose CC!

    AB.

Here's a little spreadsheet to calculate speedo error rate. All you need to do is fill in the tyre size details for your originals & replacements.
