Caster question caster was out -2.7

G'day all I went and got a wheel alignment done today and was told the caster was out -2.7 where to from here does that mean that 3 degree radius arm will bring things back to a 0 degree or how does it work I have a little understanding that suspensions work a zero degree axis meaning caster camber etc am I on the right track

No expert but from where I see it

You need to rotate the axles to regain a 0' caster. Cranked radius arms would do this (are they legal in NSW?). Another way I have seen this done is by cutting and welding the axle housings to the recommended degree required.

Wouldn't doing this then put a negative camber on one wheel and a positive on the other whilst turning? How would this effect how the ACE handles a turn?

theres no need to cut and weld.......
its a land rover......you just unbolt the ends...elongate the holes and then refit......

    just like discowhite has done......

but first.....why is your caster out......?
have you got a lift in your rig....?
or are the front radius arm bushes worn.....?

Not that simple no caster balls on a D2, and it has a bloody big lift on it.

I always struggle to read what you type ROVENIT????

The castor is out and its actually -2.7 degrees when it should be +3

Or its out by -2.7 degrees and the figure is actually +0.3

I'm assuming the first by the size of your silly lift

you'll need 5 degree arms, If that's what they make?

Bet it bump steers and tram tracks like a crunt at the moment

Yep swivel housings, but they're fixed by pins and swivel bearings, may a mix of terminology, but D2's are open to atmosphere, not enclosed in a swivel housing
