    Freelander Accessories Fitting Instructions

    G'day all,

My 1998 Freelander needs some accessories and TLC. TLC is in progress, accessories are on their way.
For those interested, the Flandie had a -as the missus put it - ear-drum bleeding drone. I thought it was an engine bush, but a couple of weeks ago the brakes would not release after the handbrake lever was released. The longer the handbrake was on, the more it took for the brakes to let go. Did not effect the driving or stopping. Went to Midas in Harbefield and the diagnosis wasn't good at all: both wheel cylinders were leaking badly, shoes soaked, drums needed machining... and (no surprise there) the front diff bush needed replacing. After all that and the drone is gone. I can drive at low rpms without being slapped across the head. One thing needing sorting out is a little 'click' from the rear (I think) everytime I need to do a slow, sharp turn... any ideas?

Anyway, back to the original issue.
First thing on the accessories list is an ABS A-bar. Used, with all the bolts and all, but no fitting instructions.
Second on the list is a set of fog lights (in the bumper). Again, no instructions and absolutely no idea how to connect them.

    So, the the questions are:
Can anyone send me a set of fitting instructions for a genuine LR ABS A-bar? Can driving lights be fitted to one of these plastic jobbies? Not to fussed about the lights but would like to know.
What do I need in terms of pars and wiring to fit the bumper fog lights? Is the wiring there already? Are then normally connected together with the rear fog lights and so the same switch? Any ideas?

    Thanks guys.

I don't know about Mac, but it runs on Linux with the aid of WINE. Does mac have something similar?

The click will be a front outer CV joint. If it just clicks occassionally on tight turns I would not worry about it.

The front light kit (I asume they are the pod lights) come as a complete kit with switches, relays and wiring. If you only have the lights then you are missing the rest of the kit.

I haven't got any lights. Yet. Looking for them at a reasonable cost so I need to know what I need... if the wiring is there, than it's easy. If not, I need to get the full kit. Better go and check what's hanging about under the bumper

The ones I am thinking about are those that are recessed into the front bumper. Not the ones that look like bug's eyes next to the A-bar.

EDIT: nothing behind the bumper. Looks like I'd need the complete kit.

Yes. You'll need a Windows emulator of some kind.

However...... A chap on the RRNET forum has converted his RAVE disc to standard PDF and posted it up for others to download. Dunno if it includes the fitting instructions.
