Silicon hoses
Hey all
I have to change over my hoses before a Simpson trip next year and want to replace them with silicon hoses.
I put my name down with Tombraider for hoses but nothing seems to have come of that...guess he lost interest or something.
Does anyone know where I can get replacement silicon hoses for a Td5 at a reasonable price? And I want them specifically for a td5...dont want to stuff around getting something else to fit.
Cheers

Go to an aircraft supplies shop. Silicon hoses are commonly used in aviation applications. Airfields with significant light aircraft populations usually have a parts and supplies outlet or three. We used to get braided silicon hose from shops at Archerfield Airport in Brisbane to replace the OEM hoses on the swinging radiator in Leyland Crusaders. One third the price and better.

Hi McDisco.
If you're willing to deal interstate try M.R Automotive on 07 32846688 They presently have stock for TD5 Disco & Defenders. S/w Dwayne & ask for your aulro referal discount. Maybe even free freight to Vic. (ask for express post - o/n service next day del)
Their stock is genuine UK origin & I can attest that quality is excellent, fitting is straight forward & without complication. You will need to trim the turbo hose - but that is simple enough. Use the take off hose as a guide & cut either end where the bend matches. I recommend a lond bladed utility knife for this. The silicone cuts very easily without much force.
They are blue in colour in case you were wondering.
