Unhappy Wiring Diagram Discrepancies in RAVE CD

    G'day

    Has anyone seen this?

Today chasing this ( Goddamn Mr Lucas the Prince of Darkness ) I've found heaps of discrepancies WRT the header joint C287. It describes pins 1 - 6 as earths with black wire but in my 98my 110 they are RedOrange supplies to the dash and L & R park lights.

Anyone with any knowledge of this wiring please give me your 10 cents worth.

And I still havn't found the fault.

    Cheers

I have no knowledge of the Defender wiring, but in the D2 sometimes its hard to pick the correct header, there being so many of them. Are you sure its the one you're looking for?

What version of RAVE do you have (mine's V015-2)? It is under what's new on the CarParc page. I notice mine keeps referring to the 97 Defender for the 300Tdi diagrams. It also says they are all black.

I'd have a look a my Defender as its the same build year (98) but that area isn't the easiest to get to if I am reading the location correctly.

    Rave Version

It says Version 2 on the front.

The other thing I noticed is that it showns the light circuit as having a relay for switching between high and low and of course we know that this doesn't exist in our versions.

Oh and Graeme, there are only a couple in the fender. No fancy stuff to run in one of those

    G'day Zook

No nthing. Not even a new connector. I've spent the day with the dash out trying to isolate the fault. I've checked the trailer brake wiring and am still at a loss to explain the short. I've isolated it to the 5th n 6th red orange wires from C287 but havn't got a clue where they go. If i unplug the front n rear park light the fault still exists which suggests its behind the dash
