Thread: remounting winch control box

    when you guys say in the guard. Is this on a Disco ? Plus I think it needs to be somewhere you can get to it easly, incase you need to swop wires around.
    I have it on the left guard under the bonnet, on my Zook. heaps of room. Now theres something I thought I never say about a Zook.

    On the Discos, they were mounted on top of the wheel arch (or there abouts IIRC). If you do it properly, first time and use decent solenoids, you'll probably never have to touch the box again (the box on my 110 was last opened 6 yrs ago)!

    If you stick them in a waterproof box, get the type with a twist-lock screws in lid so you can access the inside if need be.
