Storage bin space in 7 seater

    Hi Folks,

In my travels while searching for a vehicle, I noticed the 5 seater Discovery 2's have a storage bin on each side of the luggage area. I bought the 7 seater and notice that the RH rear-most seat folds neatly into the space occupied by the 5-seater's storage bin. The seat on the left side, however, sits more in the main luggage area and the 'storage bin' space is fully enclosed. What sits in that space and is it accessible with some mods?

    Thanks,
    Bruce

Can you post a pic? I have the 7 seat and when folded both of mine sit flat and appear to me anyway to be the same. Not sure what you mean?

Do you have rear AC? That was the only thing I've seen occupy that space on the left side – the rear AC was an option on 7 seater and I think included on most of the top models.
My rear seats also fold into the space that the bins would use because I don’t have the 2nd AC unit….

Mine has the rear A/C and yes the rear LH seat protrudes. Turn on the rear A/C (ceiling switch) and put your ear near the grill just inside the cargo area behind the LH tail light. This grill is the return air and does the "sucking" for the A/C.
My boy loves the ceiling controls. I can see these switches will require constant replacement!

Yes indeed, it has rear AC; a feature we deliberately sought. Thanks for such prompt answers.
