    defender indicator flasher can

Im pretty sure the flasher for the indicators is dying a slow death.
Has been intermittant for a little while, but since we got a sprinkle of rain in the past month, and the 130 leaks a little up front the indicators dont work real well at all. With either the indicator stalk or the hazards I get a click at the fuse box (flasher solenoid trying hard) and then nothing. Everynow and again all comes good and they work at a random rate.

Last time I had the fuse box open I didnt actually see a flasher can??? where is it hiding in there? Also can a generic unit be put in place?

    regards

    Gday

This reminds me of something that happened to me not long ago. A good bit of rain and the county was outside, a few days later the relatively new flasher stopped working. Opened up the fuse box and flasher was full of water, water had leaked in the vents and tracked down the wires and into the flasher which is facing wires up so it acts like a cup. My solution, new flasher and mount flasher with wires pointing down so water cant get into it. Been ok ever since. So if you find yours full of water maybe same problem.
