FWIW Cat run magnetic filter screens in most of the transmission to catch ferrous wear particles. They are a stainless mesh screen with an tubular metal insert with three magnetic rings on them. The do catch ALOT of crap and when they are clogged its usually a good sign poppage is immnent.

doesnt the oil flow from inside to out or is that just series?
mate that only works if you fit them in front of the cage fan, it promotes the air turbulance over the heat exchanger which increases the thermal dissipation.Quote:

After all the Australian Navy degauss their ships (there's a huge degaussing coil laid on the floor of Sydney harbour out near the heads apparently, which they use).
