    Changing Range Rover CV joints

G'day all. Noticed this morning when I was having a play on a bit of a hill [/HTML]that when I turn full lock to the left with diff lock engaged the L/H CV is making a clicking noise.

Just wondering how hard this job is? What sort of time frame? What to look out for ect. By the way its a 86 model Petrol.

    Cheers

ITs an easy job but be perpaired for oil catchment into a container and you willneed a litre of 90grade and a tube of grease either the one shot for swivels or GP in the grease gun (my method) and a new cv if its clicking its cracked ..

Firstly lift and support on stands and remove front wheel ,2 remove brake calipers by undoing the 2 bolts and support the calipers out of the way with wire ties ,3 remove 5bolts that hold axle stub shaft and remove shaft may need a slight tap with hammer to loosen be ready with before mentioned container to catch oil ,4 now your stub axle will be visable with 2 large nuts with a lock tab between them bend back tab and undo nuts and remove the hub and bearings ,5 now the bolts that hold the stub axle will be accessable undo the botom one first with container handy to catch oil then remove the rest of the bolts and remove stub axle now your cv will be visable and will just lift out nice and easy

What he said - with pics

    Mysteries of the swivel

Your CV will be a little different, but the swivel is basically the same.
