Disco 2 with SLS - How to lower withOUT key fob

    Guys,

I was wondering whether it was possible to lower the rear of the car with a bypass switch or something if I don't have the special key fob to do so?

    Thanks,

    Auke

From what I understand - you cannot.

Unless you puncture the air bags

A mate from the UK said be built a toy that alows him to do this, but he hasn't replied to my email requesting details - when/if he does I'll get back to you.

..............dont hold your breath though, he isn't very quick with email

you can but it involves spannering and Im guessing is not the solution your after.

unhook the airline from the airbag or the valve.

If you want to make it easier to do in the future fit an airvalve in the line that will let you switch a port to atmosphere while you close off the other.

it only drops the rear down for hooking up trailers etc.. but quite handy it the drive in cinema so we can get a more pointed at the screen angle!

to be honest they are the only 2 things i can think of that you could use it for!

    Thanks

Sitting inside with the doors closed and engine running, press the SLS button on the dash. The bags will inflate to max height. Once at max height press the button on the dash again and they will deflate. Once at the rear height you want turn off the motor and they stay there..or let them go right down.

Also works if you have the drivers window down and you lean in and press button (with engine running).

This is how I do it for my boat or van. Once you are moving the sensors and the SLABS computer work it all out for you to be level again.
