How to tell if 10 ro 24 spline axel?

I have a 98 TDI disco 1 and I'm wondering is their an easy way to tell if I have 10 or 24 spline axels fitted without removing the axel.
ie serial number, year vehicle manufactured or something else

    Thanks

Ok, how about this then? I have a 94 200 Tdi LA chassis. Are these 10 or 24? The drive flanges on the rear are the flatter ones, not the larger ones fitted to earlier vehicles.

Thats a curly one isn't it. By rights being the flatter flanges it should be 24 spline.
Mines a '92 200 Tdi with the same flanges, but 10 spline axles.
It's have a couple of Rover Gurus scratching their heads in wonder.
Anybody have a 24 spline diff and axles they want to get rid of?

Noting unusual its LandRover standard practice to keep using bits and pieces out of bins until they are gone regardless of model year, caused me a headache when replacing my windscreen washer pump for my 93 rangie classic and it turned out to be a 1991 washer bottle pump
