    SU problem back!!!

It seem's that one of the damper's is losing oil.
    What would cause this?
    Can anyone help?

    Is it a seal gone?

    That's bad luck.

If you were in Sydney, I would say you need to take the carby to Midel at Lakemba. There must be an SU specialist in Auckland.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

There is an O ring on the needle that is perished
not the end of the world but needs to be replaced to stop the oil loss
You will need to reset the mixtures if you pull it out

    Hi Diana,

There is a Carburettor Specialties place in town, but hoped it might be an easy fix....forgot it was a Landrover thing. Found out about a seal kit today, not sure if that will help.

Just filled it back up and is working again, only last's about 3 day's before it plays up.

I have the same problem with mine I dont have the manual that you mention but went throught great stress to try to resolve this to discover that its a simple O ring that perishes.
I bought parts from Midel as Diana mentioned and it was all pretty simple, to be honest I didnt fix it I just top up the oil and its not a problem
My manual doesnt have a picture of the O ring either if you Pm me with your email address I can send you the manuals that I have
