    Door panel clips.

Does anyone know where you can get more door panel clips? There for a Defender td5.. The ones that hold the panel to the door frame.

    Yes and no.

My drivers side door has a problem with the lock. I took the panel off once to have a look, with one clip bitting the dust. and one was all ready broken. Ill still need to get the panel off once or twice more, and don't want to until I have the replacement clips.

A month or so ago I saw an un-opened packet (LR original) and I thought there was no point buying them, because Id never need them

I thought they were just a generic item though, which is why I was asking, but i guess its not.

    Door panel clips.

I have had mine falling off since I put some insulation inside the door panels. My solution was to go to the marine store in Williamstown, and get some stainless steel screws, and collars that go around them. Just screwed them in. They look a bit industrial, but it is a Defender. Only need a few on each door, in conjunction with the existing clips. Only cost a few dollars also.

    Cheers,
    Ken

It's not so much the clips breaking, its the clip retainer on the door trim that is a problem. The inner door trim is a styrene foam type construction with the clip mount is moulded into this material and easily breaks free.
5 min araldite ( spelling) fixes it back on though.

Hrrm, I like that idea. I recon it would suit the look of the car. Do you have any pictures?

I must be having a bad run on clips, as only the clips on mine have broken.

Can get some soon, but the car is in the dealership trying to figure out why the radio, and interior lights keep blowing. They have had if for 3 days this time. At least I have a loaner car (Ford Focus). Will take some when I get the car back.

    Cheers,
    Ken
