    My rear end is drooping

It's probably got something to do with age

Yesterday I took George down to the landscape suppliers and got a load of sand and paving bricks. Probably way too much weight but now the passenger side rear springs don't all the way up and the driver's side is little better. Sooo...

What do you reckon is better, getting a spring rebuild or getting some second hand ones. I doubt I can afford to fork out for parabolics before anyone mentions it The springs are standard LR for a Series 3 Stage 1. Taking them out and replacing them looks pretty straight forward.

    Cheers

I dont know about NZ but in Australia dont mess around with old springs remember they are probably 25 years old.
Properly reset springs (read retempered) are Ok if you can find the people to do the job properly.
I always use new springs they only cost $700 Aud for a rear set.
In the 80s I use to use vehicles professionally running them 5-6 days a week under rough conditions my observation was that good springs will last 3 years.
They look easy to get out but the end mounting bolts in the spring bushes will probably need to be cut out as they will be seized. This can be a $h1t of a Job.

    Oh the money :(

Others have said that the old springs are likely to be stuffed so I guess it's going to be a major bum lift for George. Buns of steel

Now to find a decent price for a set of rear springs.
