so continuing along, this work was all done before my VIC 4WD show trip and worked well:
I used a Hippo liner kit (about $100) and rollered it onto the flat surfaces after flattening off the paint

Painted this panel off the car and Sikaflexed all the edges before screwing it all down and cleaned up any overfill:

Then using the same Form Shield I started cutting out to cover all the remaining panels, putting the Ali side to the heat sources:

Put the original carpet back over the Form Shield - again using Contact adhesive on both sides:

Cut some Form Shield the same side as the original rubber mat and put it under the mat:

Form Shield cut out for the rear cargo area:

Original mat went back in over the top:

Cut out some Form Shield to cover the seat boxes:

I have a false floor in place of the rear seats - this also got a coat of Hippo liner:

Good job, LRH!
Can you please break down the project cost, ie amount of materials and costs?
Thanks,
Ruslan
Have you been able to drive it yet and comment on its effectiveness?
I desparately need to reduce in cabin engine noise. Most noise seems to be coming from the transmission tunnel, possibly though the gear stick boot. Has anyone done anything to reduce noise from this opening?
