hose from p/s Pump to Reservoir?

    for 1996 Disco .
I want to replace the small length of hose from the power steering pump to the reservoir, it's only about 30 cms long.
I called into a LR ( non Dealership) service centre and asked , but was told about $150 according to the price list. After I picked myself off the floor!..... any way can you get oil resistant hoses in that inside diameter from another source, for a few dollars only?

When my dads 89 rangie blew the hose between the pump and box, i got it remade with a short lenght of hose with compression olive fittings on the hose. cost about $80. The means in future the hose can be removed from the pipes in future and replaced on its own if nessecary.

EDIT: just realised the hose you need is between the reservoir and pump.......(doh) any hydraulics shop could sell you that.

No wrong hose, I'm talking about the fill to pump hose,( like a heater hose), the one your talking about is the high pressure hose that is rubber hose to metal and supplys the power steering box.

What's so special about it, BJ? Apart from the 24 carat gold outer sheath, that is.

apparently it has rib ticklers around the outside.

The hose is reinforced with some sort of braid within, I noticed this when I had to cut it to get it off the pump.
Just that it's been leaking annoyingly ever since I bought the Disco
