    I went the other way

12 months ago I replaced my undriveable r380 ( 300tdi )to an lt77s from a 200tdi disco. Easy swap, must use the bellhousing from appropiate box. Only issue was I used my transfer case, the dif lock linkages need a slight reallignment.

If you're wondering why I went this way against popular opinion, I bought a fully recoed lt77s for $650, an exchange r380 was $2500. Money talks!!! I have covered 30K with this box, no problems at all. At least I can now change gears.

I think the gear levers are in different positions, so make sure you get the matching interior bits as well.
