    Looks a bit like the "Allmakes" aftermarket copy of the genuine CV. Reports are that they work ok, but aren't quite as strong as genuine/gkn. However, they tend to break the stub shaft rather than the CV, which can be an advantage.

    Well, in that case, if no one's got anything bad to say about them, I'll probably get one.

    There are 3 of us locally with 300Tdi Defenders, so between us we carry a 'Consolidated Spares Kit' including wheel bearings, tie rod ends, belts, water pump, clutch cylinder and even a couple of used timing cover cases that we still need to reco with a new pressed in bearing. This keeps costs down and reduces down time.
