    Water level warning sesnor

Anyone know about the water level sensor that fits into the radiator for the ex-army 3.5 V8?

I flushed the cooling system a few weeks ago and since then it has been beeping on intermittently. I first thought it was a loose connection but I been able to rule that out, I think. The other thing, I assume the old one can just screw out of its hole and a new one put in (I haven't taken it out yet).

Before replacing the sensor, I'd check for airlocks.

I thought about that but the sensor is half way down the radiator on the driver's side so if there were an air lock it'd be mighty big

I went through the recommended procedure to clear air locks by running the heater on full tit and it has been across some pretty lumpy ground since so any air locks should have been passed through, I hope. Perhaps there is something else I ought to do to make certain?
