Air shocks all round? (please don't laugh!)

Hello everyone, does anyone have the knowledge or specs on the shocks for a '04 D130CC? I want to put those air shocks (the pump up ones we used to put on the rear of cars for towing) on all four corners.
Before you all ask why, I have on-board air and want to connect them up to a manifold with valves so I can level the car when we camp in the roof-top tent.
I know it's silly, but it's just the sort of thing I'll enjoy!

    ditto

airbagman.com.au in QLD do an airbag system for a Defender I think. I haven't seen one, but have read a little about them. Not too expensive either as far as suspension systems go, under $1,500 from memory.

    At least worth investigating.

A shovel and a couple of housebricks or blocks of hardwood is all you need, Regards Frank.

Some of the aftermarket suspension people list kits to relocate the front shocks outside the coil. Mainly for longer shocks for lift kits and/or doubling up shocks on the front. But available and may suit your requirement.

EAS range rover shock turrets move the shock in front of the spring. They are a bolt on item

I think what is missing from this is why not do it.....

The main reason in my opinion other than you may struggle to get fronts (more than likely) is that the airshocks are more often than not fairly poor quality and probably wouldnt stand up to the abuse that you would get in normal off roading.

If you ran them as a second shock then it would be ok in my opinion but there would be a fair bit of engineering involved in that.

The Idea is good but you would also want to use jack stands as well as to lock it in place once you have got it level.

With our tent, we normally just find a nice level spot to set up or I dig a hole or 2 to drop the wheels into, it's a lot cheaper
