    Intermittent miss 03/04 TD5 Disco

Good day all. Sorry for the vague nature of this but the Disco belongs to a mate. Has a miss every so often Generally cured by turning the ignition key off and back on. Sometimes will not happen for 100 km sometimes 10/20km. Has had it to the dealer who has changed the injectors and substituted a computer. Quite expensive. I feel it must be the injector harness, over to you.

One would think (hope?) that a dealer would be well aware of oil in wiring harness problem and look at the cheapest/simplest solutions first before replacing injectors at huge cost. Also, I would doubt injectors would be a problem on such a new vehicle and surely buggered injectors wouldn't be cured by a simple turn off/on of ignition. Also, unlikely that all injectors would be buggered at same time and a dealer should have the correct equipment to determine which if any injectors need replacing...

Get him to look at the ECU,next to the battery,is there oil leaking from the red plug.
If so you need to do a search on "OIL IN THE HARNESS"
