Do you want it done local to you? I have a new hoist but can't do that sort of work alone, you would have to help. Otherwise MV Automatics at Blackwood would be my go-to for experienced auto trans mechanics.

I would be happy to help, I am also chasing up a transfercase as you know; once I get one I will get in contact - I believe I still have your phone number

You're looking for a Defender t-case, aren't you? D1 t-cases might be easier to find at short notice.

It's going to remain stock for quite a while, it's too nice a car to butcher just yet.
I'll probably build up anther t/case in the next six months, that'd be about the extent of mods in the foreseeable future.
    And maybe some suspension mods.
    And...ZF Heavy duty upgrades

With the Deefer going I was looking at possibly an RRC down the track, if not another Deefer, and was just going to get a cheap Japanese ute in the interim but the D2 offer has popped up in the last week.

All good, I knew what you meant, I wasn't very clear on the tangent I was going down.

It's an '02 so doesn't have the locking mechanism in the t/case so that will probably be the first thing I address, but we'll see.

I'll do a fluid change in the trans and we'll go from there.
It's done some van towing, but the driver is a mechanic and very mechanically sympathetic, moreso than moi!
Car only has 102,000km, barely run in.
