tdi300 idler adjusting pulley
tryed to undo the bolt that holds the idler/tensioner pulley to the adjusting unit and broke the bloody bolt. Is it left or right hand thread? I have already undone the one for the aircon and that is a normal right hand thread, seems a bit strange for the main one to be left hand, Guess I will have to drill the sucker out and lucky I have a spare I guess. Seems like the crap ya get when tring to do a bit of preventive maintance as neither of them really needs new bearings but seeing I had spare units I thought I would do the right thing.
cheers

ps
Seem to be just standard 6203 bearings?

if you mean the serpentine (long) alternator drive belt tensioner pulley - yes it is opposite (l/h) to normal thread so it doesn't come undone when you use the head of it to release the spring tension to remove the belt....
if you snapped it are you able to get the remainder out?

ps yep - std brgs - also try a search here for 6203ZZ

yeh that'd work... but I'm wondering just where you get a replacement...
also; if you take the mounting stud for the adjuster unit out for any reason (like it came out with the nut) there is a right and wrong end for it to go back in...
