    New coil/rough idle 89 RR

Hi all, my trusty old coil finally packed it in this morning, verified by an auto electrician, so I fitted a new Lucas one..(yes the correct one for my '89 3.5efi Range Rover).
While it runs again and I'm happy about that, it has now developed a rough idle with an irregular miss also slightly rough acceleration.
It did have a slight rough idle before the new coil, but is much more noticeable now.
Could it be the new coil is putting out a much stronger spark, therefore amplifying the existing rough idle/acceleration?
It has recently had fitted new distributor cap/genuine rotor/ quality leads/ new plugs.
    Any thoughts?
    Cheers.

    Lucas cap.

    I used a Lucas cap.
This has been on the vehicle for a few weeks now.
From memory the genuine Land Rover cap was very expensive.

Could it be that you wired the coil back to front?
Negative to dizzy, positive to power supply and signal to ECU.

Ah, it must be House's influence.
I am surprised at how slow everyone is to spot the deliberate error. You are all fired.
RPM to ECU is from negative of course.
