Here's a pic of an automatic bearing greaser with a LR wheel bearing inside which has been greased.
I then just rub grease on the outside as well before fitting.
Bearings must run in the grease, not metal to metal and grease is a lubricant not just a coolant.
Over tightening bearings can cause failure as quickly as running them without grease due to it pushing the grease out running them metal to metal, overheating them and subsequently failing.
Nothing wrong with heating normal grease to fill a bearing, we used to use that method when working in the snow up in the hills as a grease gun wouldnt push the grease out of the tube so we kept the grease in pots and had an electric stove to heat it up.
All you need to do it dip it and stir it around a bit and pull it out and in around 3 deg C room temp it cools well before it came out.
