    44e Lt230t

Anyone know what this is supposed to be out of?

I did find a post here ages ago showing what all the prefixes were in relation to vehicle fitment and ratios, but can't find it anymore!

Any help identifying would be appreciated!

    Was it a non-rover gearbox?

There are some web sites that indicate that series 2 Disco's have LT230SE TC's with 41/42D prefixes. This is only a guess, but a late model (2003?) Disco? (Early D3?)

    It's mated to an R380 behind a 300TDI, if that's any help.

But the vehicle has been a V8 and then a 200TDI and now has the 300 in it.

And it's series 1 Disco gear, or equivalent non Borg Warner RR. Or maybe Defender? Who knows.......

I've had a bit more of a search and I'm still at a loss to know what it came out of originally.

So if anyone knows where to look, I'd love to know!

Have a look at Ashcroft transmissions site.
Its not listed but might be from a TD5 defender ?? Number sequence seems to follow.
