    110 door hinges

Has anyone repaired defender door hinges? Mine have nylon or similar bushes in them and my top drivers door has worn out. Secondly, what would be an average insurance value for a 1998 110 300tdi in good condition?

Yes they are rebuildable, i reemed one out and put in a larger pin. I don't know if anyone does a kit though.

red book isn't applicable to 110s. I'd ask for 20k, plus whatever extras you have.

why isn't Red Book applicable to 110's ?
It's listed on that link and what the Insurance Co's use.

FWIW, the insurance companies value my '98 130 with all the fruit at $16,500.

which is exactly the argument, you can not replace it for that value unless you find a very very special deal.... me thinks anyone that has tried to buy a good one in the last couple of years would tend to agree.

to me, redbook isnt reflecting true market prices on defenders and isnt moving with the market. it appears it is just following some predetermined formula.

Yes I'm sick of having that argument with insurers.
Not all vehicles follow the standard depreciation equation.
