Like wovenrovings sister I have a water tank under the driver's sill.

Also, note that on the Isuzu installation, the exhaust is outside the chassis, leaving a large space between the transfer case and the A-frame crossmember and between the prop shaft and the chassis rail. On mine this is filled with a fuel tank, but part of this space would be useful for a locker accessed by a hatch in the rear floor panel on a wagon.

On a ute (especially a traytop) there is on any Landrover a good big space under the front part of the tray. In the sixties my 2a had a large water tank in this spot. Ute bodies can access this area by cutting doors in the panel behind the door, providing access in to the chassis rail, and there is even an outrigger to support large weights.

The space behind the fuel filler pipe rear Rhs is just right for secreting a 5 Litre Jerry can of petrol for the generator.jerry sits in an angle iron bracket and is retained by a bolt to the rear crossmember. You'd never know there was anything under there.Could also be used for chainsaw fuel,
    Cheers,

Do you mean the intake on top of the right hand front wing?

further, there must be someone out there who has built a storage box for under the drivers seat. I've seen some water/fuel tanks there, I would have thought a lockable compartment would be a great there?

    anyone?

Yes under the plastic plate on the right hand wing, but I really like the idea of putting the winch controller there too. I didn't think of that. My Xtreme has been through everything and the space there is still nearly as clean as when the vehicle was made, no dust and no water seem to get in there. I don't know why it must be a design fault
