However, I am not sure how the routing from the Turbo to the intercooler and fom the intercooler to the inlet plenum is on the Defender....

I can't imagine that it will be all THAT different, but they are made by Land Rover of course....

I have checked my RAVE CD and unless i am mistaken, I do NOT think there is a difference in the engine set-up as described above, I do believe that the airbox is in a completely different location and that the (cold air) input to the turbo is different, but between the turbo to the inlet mnifold looks the same.

How does your lay-out stack up against the sketches posted above??

Not a problem, a mate of mine has a TD5 Disco, we'll put them side by side during the week and have a little "Head Scratch"

    cheers mate......

Hoses and angles are different between defender and disco TD5..

Routing from turbo to intercooler wont fit due to ACE systems (will fit without ACE)...

The torque of the engine will break the straighter piping very quickly offroad from vibration etc...

Angular changes are NO benefit.... Look at the entry to the intercooler..

Do you believe that its smooth going through there?

This mod, whilst Bespoke, will not help you for the $$$$

In fact, I'd put money on it that it will cause more issues...

Dont feed these guys your money.... They are a business, they want your cash...

But you'll benefit nothing from this mod.

    Hmmmm,

Quite a candid response from Tombie!

Makes sense, will 'just replace' the standard jobbies like for like then....

So when are you doing a run on the uprated intercoolers again?
