I once came across a big Chev full size 4WD pickup with 6V53 installed. It was a show and pose car, not a workhorse. LHD and unregistered. Sounded amazing through 4" straight through stacks. I don't recall what sort of fit it was under the bonnet, but I am pretty sure you need a car that size to hold one.

Love the sound of a GM 2 stroke.
But no cab insulation in a Landy would save your mind after a 100km trip!!!!,I doubt if you could insulate it down enough.
Would sound awsome in somebody elses Landy

Max torque was somewhere around 1500rpm. It really used to get into it from 1200 -1800. Was probably a good bit higher there than you say the 2300 rpm figure was. The 435 hp version had 1088 lb ft at 2100 & 1242 lb ft @ 1400.

It chewed up RT12515 Road Rangers so a Spicer 1420 was installed.

A friend has a V6, 2 stroke diesel in a half track. Does sound well. He has to wear earmuffs, but that is with the noise from the tracks as well.

Pic below from lunch stop on a trip last year.

you can make a 6v53 fit into a perentie engine bay and therefore a deefer as well and if you naff off the aircon the county too...

getting its power to ground tho is a different matter.

Do not ask how I know.... It never happened there are no pics, alcohol was involved as was 2 broken 1/15th vehicles that both had the engines out, there was a floor crane handy there was 3 of us and we were bored, probabley inebriated and we'd run out of fire wood so had to do something to keep us moving to keep warm.....

shoehorning the 53 into a 110 seemed like a good idea at the time......

Hmmm don't know anything about a VL with an old hummer engine by any chance...... (Believe it was around Katherine and the US military are still wondering what the hell kind of starter motor the hummer had under the bonnet when it got back to the states)

something along the lines of "training" exercise in interoperability???
