I cannot tell the time at night D2 2003

    Hi all

It seems that the light in my clock of my 2003 D2 has gone out. All the other dash lights still work, so its probably not a fuse gone, has anybody blown their clock light bulb and if so is it too hard to get to?

    Cheers Keith

Definitely sounds like the bulb, haven't done this on my D2, but it should be the same as the D1. You just need to pop the clips under the clock unit and pull it out. An old credit card is good for doing this, just slid it in and it should then release the tabs (I say old card as it can damage the edges).

as DM said, its a small bulb with special holder fixed to it so take the bulb out and drop down to repco or similar they have them for about 2 bucks.. i couldnt find one with exactly the same rating, but it fits and works... and i can now see the clock!

credit card is good unless you fancy dismantling the dash around that area!

    Thanks

    led

    Hi Mate,
They don't seem to last very long. The last time I bought the led light from Repco (I think) and not the conventional wire light. They should last longer.
