I didnt see any washers unless its behind the spring assembly.

Can't remember the order, but there's definitely a hardened washer there that the spring sits against.

Yep, fits around the thermostat spring part. Couldnt get an O-ring the right size but it only lost maybe 100ml over a 1 week period so not too bad.

Pirtek lines finally gave out - update

Well after nearly ten years of no leaking the oil cooler lines that I got Pirtek to make up have given out.

Not a bad run, when I took them in the guys at Pirtek they were a bit surprised as the hose has started to delaminate. Thought it could be heat related?

Now to dob myself in for being a newb when I went to refit new cooler lines and they would not fit into the oil cooler housing no matter what I tried. Gave up and had a sleep on it thinking possibly the thread was stripped etc. wasn’t until I was reminded to use a mirror to inspect the housing that I found the old o”ring seal still left inside preventing the new hose end from fitting properly! Thanks SW

    Only 4 years ago......👍

Gday @loanrangie, Mine has developed this leak. Do you remember how you sorted this out?
Is the leak due to a failed O ring?
Sounds and looks to be an awkward job.
I assume the O ring can be sourced from a good parts seller?
Did you use a gasket or rtv?
