hey everyone i have bought one of Drivesafes headlight upgrades...looks great (Thanks again Tim)
but wiring just confuses me
just wondering what the switch is for that came in the kit ??
Cheers
Hi Defender=1st, the reason for the switch is to allow the driving lights to be isolated while using high beam.
This is a legal requirement to make the installation meet ADR
Cheers
how long does it take to fit up? its geting very dark round these parts this time of year and standard fender lights are simply dangerous
All depends on how neat you want the cabling to be, did the combo headlight/driving light upgrade in my Disco and found it took me around 3 hours with beers. If you're mounting your switch and relays in a easy location (ie in a Defender) and you have some electrical understanding, you could get it done in just over an hour.
Cheers,
Phill
electrical does not phase me and im not one for neatness so about a half hour lol then 3 hours a month later to make it neat
