    Land Rover engine oil.

    I need to get some Land Rover td5 5w30 oil but it seems over here if you want it you have to take your own container and get it from the workshop at the dealer...

    Is that real..... wow! Dont they have oil in containers over here... is it due to transport costs?

    Anyway, what oil do people here use.... I have never put anything other than genuine stuff in mine. Or do you take your own containers to the dealer?

    where do you think the dealers get theirs from
    look around the back for (insert other colours here-)big green and red castrol drums.

    supercheap, autobarn, etc etc,,

    As Pedro mentioned, go to Supercheap Auto, Autobarn or Repco etc. I just bought 10L of Penrite HPR Diesel 5 SAE 5W-40, Semi synthetic i think for $79 from Supercheap.
    Any comments on this oil? What do you oil guru's think?

    Just to say I am not sure about that Penrite one for a td5 as its semi synthetic..... Dont LR specify fully synthetic?
