    Td5 Tensioner pulley

Does anyone know if this can be bought as just the pulley?

Looking at EPC it lists it as ERR6951 and shows it as the whole spring mount and pully.

Mine's stuffed and I see the bearing is sealed into the casing so it's a new one I suppose.

Try looking at a Commodore tensioner pulley - surely there are dead Commodores where you are. Possible that they are the same. ( On a 300tdi they are, and on earlier Commodore models the pulley is metal and the bearing is replaceable - 6203 generic number). You might even get lucky with a Ford.

Hardly any Commodores or Fords and anything that;s wrecked is stripped of parts.

Bit the bullet and ordered a new one. Could find anyone selling just the pulley. The other still rotates, but is making a noise, so it will do in an emergency.

There are two idler pulleys on the Td5 with two different size bearings. The bearing in the tensioner is easily replaced and costs about $7 to $10.
The other bearing, which is the larger of the two (I think), is contained in a two piece idler wheel that is riveted together.
If you get to them early enough, both bearings, although 'sealed', can be serviced by carefully removing the plastic seal, thoroughly cleaning and regreasing before replacing the (hopefully) undamaged plastic seal.
    See attached pics.
